DIY Fabric Charger Plates | The Southern Table – Episode 175

Set the table in style with this easy and affordable DIY! Erin and Kelli show us how to repurpose fabric remnants to create designer charger plates in a matter of minutes to elevate any place setting.

List of Supplies:

  • plastic charger plates
  • Craft glue
  • Small paint brush
  • Fabric of your choice ( 2-3 yards of fabric to make four chargers)
  • Fabric scissors

How to:

  1. Cut fabric into squares to cover each plate, leaving about an inch of excess fabric.
  2. Add thin layer of craft glue to front of plate in evenly, fully covering the plate with adhesive.
  3. Add fabric square, carefully pressing fabric onto plate to smooth out any wrinkles. Start first in center of plate.
  4. Flip plate over and cut around the edge of charger to remove excess fabric.
